Textbook Buyback
May 3 through 12, UVA Bookstore.
Sell your books to the UVA Bookstore for cash. The Bookstore is accepting books on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Remember that textbook rentals are due back on May 15. And don’t forget to order your fall 2017 textbooks online

Apply to serve on the Student Member of the BOV Advisory Committee (SMAC) for the upcoming year. Each member of the committee will work directly with Bryanna Miller, the incoming Student Member of the Board of Visitors, to carry out a variety of initiatives. Available positions include an undergraduate assistant, a graduate assistant, a UVA-Wise assistant, a communications director, and a graphic designer. The W.E.B. DuBois Journal of Racial Studies is the first academic journal at the University of Virginia dedicated to scholarship that deals specifically with race. It is an outlet for undergraduates and graduates to display their work for the rest of the University community. The journal is currently looking for editors and exec members. Participants Needed for Salt Study
The University of Virginia’s Department of Medicine is conducting a study to measure the effect of salt intake on two gene variants to help with drug development. Participants will receive two weeks of free food (one week of high salt and one week of low salt) and a $200 stipend upon successful completion.
