UVA Class of 2021

Dear Parents of Third-Year Students:

We would like to formally invite you to Third Year Ceremony, which will be held on Friday, October 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the John Paul Jones Arena. This event is part of Family Weekend.

Third Year Ceremony is the premier event for the Class of 2021 occurring between New Student Convocation and Final Exercises (Graduation). Alongside their fellow third-year students, this annual tradition gives your student the opportunity to celebrate their collegiate efforts and achievements thus far.

Highlights of the event include a performance from the Hullabahoos, remarks from University Dean of Students Allen Groves, a keynote address from third-year student Pilar Jimenez, and recognition of those students receiving intermediate honors. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception during which those who have purchased class rings may pick them up. The reception will also feature live music and some light refreshments.

Please remember that there is no obligation to purchase a class ring in order to attend Third Year Ceremony. This event is open to all members of the Class of 2021 and their family and friends.

To provide a safe environment for attendees, the University has implemented a clear bag policy and is utilizing metal detectors for Third Year Ceremony. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us or go to our Facebook event page.

Bring your friends, share your memories, and celebrate with your student.

Wahoowa!
