The University of Virginia's Department of Student Health, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is seeking to hire a part-time mental health professional for the position of Staff Psychotherapist. This position will provide triage assessment, diagnostic and developmental evaluations, brief treatment (individual, couple or group therapy), referral assistance, and crisis intervention. The position may also provide supervision and some outreach programming.
• Masters or Doctorate in psychology, social work, counseling or related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents or adults
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with risk assessment and crisis intervention
• Experience coordinating care with psychiatrists and/or other medical professionals
• Current licensure in a mental health discipline (Psychologist, LPC, LCSW) in the State of Virginia
Position Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 Hourly
This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year. For more information, refer to the Wage Employment link.
