Dear Parents of First-Year Students:
It was only a few short weeks ago that your daughter or son arrived at UVA for their first year. I hope things are going well and your student is engaging in classes and activities, working through the expected adjustments that come with college life.
Members of the University Community:
Last night, several members of the University and Charlottesville communities held a protest at the Thomas Jefferson statue located north of the Rotunda, and several protestors covered the Jefferson statue in a black shroud. We have since removed the cover. One person was arrested for public intoxication.
Welcome to the University!
As you begin or continue your academic career at UVA, it is critical that you understand your responsibilities as a student and the expectations we have here for academic and personal integrity. In order to reinforce your understanding of the Honor System, you are required to complete a brief educational module that discusses our Honor System. If you go to your Student Information System (SIS) account, you will see the Honor module under your To Do List.
Your fellow members of the UVA community are concerned about the devastation from Hurricane Harvey and thus I am writing you since our records show your hometown is in Texas. If you need assistance due to the impact of the storm on you or your family, please get in touch with my office by calling 434-924-7133 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dear Students, Colleagues, Friends,
I am writing with an update from the Deans Working Group on the progress we have made since I last wrote.
Welcome to Grounds from UVA Athletics! The purpose of this email is to inform you how you can attend home Virginia Athletics events during the 2017-18 academic year as well as to explain the Sabre Points system and its impact on admission to home men's basketball games.
Dear Members of the University Community:
